Hydrostatics or Fluid Statics is the branch of Hydraulics dealing with the fluids at rest. In Hydrostatics of Fluid Statics the physical quantity to be considered mainly is the pressure in the fluid, the pressure variation with depth, and the force exerted by the fluid on the bodies in contact.
